"Once the characteristic numbers of most notions are determined,
the human race will have a new kind of tool,
a tool that will increase the power of the mind
much more than optical lenses helped our eyes,
a tool that will be as far superior to microscopes or telescopes
as reason is to vision."
Welcome to the Wiki of the Leibniz Center for Law at the University of Amsterdam. This Wiki has multiple purposes most/all of which we haven't yet thought of.
The Leibniz Center for Law has its roots in the former department of Computer Science & Law of the Law Faculty of the University of Amsterdam, and currently houses about 15 researchers. The Leibniz Center conducts research and provides education in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Law. We focus on the development and application of techniques from Artificial Intelligence to the field of Law for the purpose of supporting legal practice, and bringing new insights to legal theory.
We are currently developing an information area about the LRI Core Ontology. A wiki area for educational purposes is in the planning stages.
There's an overview of interesting conferences and deadlines as well.
We have also prepared a page with some (links to) more information on Gottfried Wilhelm von Leibniz.
